In these Conditions:
• The Publisher refers to Amp Publishing, trading as Amp Corporate Communications Limited, whose registered office is at Lymm Business Centre, Davies Way, Lymm, Cheshire, WA13 0QW. The company is incorporated in England and Wales under company number 1529857.
• The Publisher Group means the Publisher together with its parent company and any of its affiliates or subsidiary companies.
• The User means any individual or organisation that submits user-generated content (“Submitted Material”) to the Publisher for publication in any print or digital publications, websites and/or social media platforms owned, operated, or managed by the Publisher Group.
Submission Terms and Conditions
All submitted material is accepted entirely at the Publisher’s discretion and is subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using this service or website, the User agrees to be legally bound by these terms, which take effect immediately upon use.
2. Amendments to Terms
The Publisher reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Users are responsible for reviewing the terms regularly. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
3. Language and Conduct
The Publisher expects all Users to communicate courteously and respectfully. Offensive language is not permitted. All Submitted Material must be in English and must not insult other contributors or contain, promote, or encourage defamatory, false, misleading, threatening, discriminatory, abusive, obscene, or otherwise offensive content.
4. User Warranty
By submitting material, the User warrants that all Submitted Material is lawful, appropriate, accurate, and truthful.
5. Accuracy and Errors
Users are responsible for reviewing the initial publication of their Submitted Material and must promptly notify the Publisher of any errors. The Publisher is under no obligation to review, amend, or correct any Submitted Material.
6. Copyright and Permissions
Users must not submit material unless they have all necessary rights and permissions to do so. Submission constitutes confirmation that the User has obtained all required authorisations and consents, including (but not limited to):
(a) the use of images or representations of living individuals, and any statements attributed to them; and
(b) the use of any third-party copyrighted content.
7. Confidentiality and Privacy
Users must respect the privacy and confidentiality of others. Submitted Material must not include private or confidential information, nor any material that could prejudice ongoing or pending legal proceedings of which the User is aware.
8. Data Protection
Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Publisher’s Privacy Notice. The User confirms that Submitted Material complies with all applicable data protection laws and that any necessary consents have been obtained to allow publication and use of the material.
9. Impersonation and Disclosure
Users must not impersonate any individual or misrepresent their identity. Any personal interest or connection to the subject matter of the Submitted Material must be clearly disclosed.
10. Use of Submitted Material
By submitting material, the User grants the Publisher Group a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to edit, reproduce, publish, adapt, and create derivative works from the Submitted Material across any newspapers, websites, or social media platforms owned or operated by the Publisher Group.
11. Advertising Restrictions
Submitted Material must not be promotional in nature or contain advertising or marketing content.
12. Removal, Suspension, and Termination
The Publisher reserves the right to decline publication or remove all or part of any Submitted Material that breaches these terms. Users must not resubmit material that has been removed for such reasons. The Publisher may suspend or permanently ban any User at its sole discretion, including where these terms have been violated.
13. Indemnity and Limitation of Liability
The User agrees to indemnify and hold the Publisher harmless from all claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses arising from any breach of these terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Publisher shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the service, including (without limitation) loss of data, revenue, profits, business opportunities, goodwill, reputation, or any indirect or consequential losses.
14. Availability of Service
The Publisher makes no guarantee that the service or website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses, defects, or technical issues.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
