
Terms and conditions of advertising
"Publisher" means Portal North, a trading name of Amp Corporate Communications Ltd, per details provided below.
"Advertiser" means any person, firm or company entering into an agreement with the Publisher.
Payment terms are as stated in the invoice provided on confirmation, payable in GBP by bank transfer within 14 days.
Payments are non-refundable and are subject to VAT where applicable. All costs quoted are net.
The specification and distribution details of the advertising package are contained within the invoice, which also acts as a booking form, together with these terms and conditions.
The contract is valid for advertising set out inthe confirmation form/invoice.
All advertisements/sponsored features must comply with applicable laws and UK advertising codes set out by Advertising Standards Authority and are accepted at the Publisher's sole discretion.
Copywriting of sponsored features, in order to adapt into the magazine’s house style, is provided at no charge and is based on the information submitted. The Advertiser may make one set of amends within the free service. Additional amends may incur costs, to be advised by the Publisher in advance.
The Publisher reserves the right to make changes, including but not limited to grammatical changes and minor corrections in line with the Publisher’s house style.
Any unpaid amounts due to the Publisher will carry interest at the rate of 2% per month or part thereof, from the due date until payment is received by Publisher.
All reasonable efforts will be made by the Publisher to fulfil its obligations, but should the Publisher be prevented or delayed in carrying out any of its obligations due to unexpected or exceptional circumstances, the time for delivery shall be extended until a reasonable time after the event preventing or interfering with the due performance of the Publisher’s obligations has ceased. This could include, but is not limited to, Act of God, war, fire, flood, delays in transit, strikes, riots, postal delay or any other. The Publisher will not be liable for any consequential loss or damage suffered by the Advertiser as a result of such circumstances.
The terms of the agreement as stated in the Publisher’s booking invoice constitute the contract between the Advertiser and Publisher. Any variations to the contract terms are only valid if signed by a director of the Publisher.
The Advertiser warrants and represents that any materials, copy or information they have supplied is not defamatory or illegal or an infringement of the rights of any third party. The Advertiser agrees to indemnify the Publisher, its suppliers and distributors against any loss or damage they may sustain in consequence of breach of the Advertisers warranty.
The Publisher reserves the right to vary the date of publication or of advertising going live on the website by not more than 21 days and will notify the Advertiser if there is a change to the scheduled date.
The Advertiser consents to the Publisher processing any personal data supplied by it (which the Advertiser warrants has been obtained in compliance with all applicable regulations) or obtained in the course of fulfilling the Publisher’s contract obligations to the Advertiser. Data will be managed in accordance with the Publisher’s privacy policy which is available at: www.portalnorth.com
